One of the world's most successful investors, Warren Buffett, was once asked for his advice on building long-term success.
Part of his answer surprised many people.
He explained that cards and handwritten notes should not be reserved just for Christmas, Easter or special occasions.
Instead, they should be used throughout the year.
Why?
Because people like to feel appreciated.
A short handwritten note, a message of gratitude or a few words of sincere praise can leave a lasting impression.
Buffett has long believed that whether it is business or pleasure, ultimately everything is personal.
People buy from people.
People trust people.
People remember how we make them feel.
One of the most effective ways to strengthen relationships is to understand that not everyone thinks, communicates or makes decisions in the same way.
We all have different personality preferences.
When we learn to recognise these differences, we can communicate in a way that feels more natural and comfortable for the other person.
The result?
Better conversations.
Stronger relationships.
More trust.
And ultimately, more influence.
Many communication challenges arise not because people are difficult, but because we are speaking their language differently from the way
they prefer to receive it.
In fact, if we fail to adapt our communication style, we can unintentionally create friction without ever realising it.
We teach four core personality styles.
Understanding these personalities can transform the way we communicate with clients, prospects, colleagues, friends and family.
Which personality are you?
This short and amusing video will give you an introduction to the four personality styles.
When you watch it, ask yourself:
"Which one am I?"

Over the next 4 newsletters, we will explore each of the four personalities in more detail and share practical tips on how to communicate more effectively with each one.
You may be surprised how much easier it becomes to build rapport when people feel understood.
Have a great week.
Humour
It was such an emotional wedding. Even the cake was in tiers.
A blowfly went into a bar and asked, "Is that stool taken?"
Gambling has brought our family closer together. We all had to move into a smaller house.
