How to Connect with Steady Personalities

Before we focus on Steady personalities, here is a reminder of the four personality styles:

This week we're looking at the Steady Personality.

Steady personalities represent around 35% of the population and are often the easiest people to get along with.

They tend to be loyal, supportive and dependable.

These are the people who quietly keep organisations running.

How to spot them

  • They smile warmly.
  • They are good listeners.
  • They are patient.
  • They avoid confrontation.
  • They genuinely care about others.

Words that work well

  • "To help you help others..."
  • "We'll support you throughout the process."
  • "We'll work together."
  • "There's no pressure."

Steady personalities value trust and relationships.

Give them time.

Don't rush them.

Words to avoid

  • Aggressive deadlines.
  • High-pressure decisions.
  • Confrontational language.

Next week we'll look at the Cautious Personality.

Humour

I told my doctor I could hear buzzing noises. He said, "Don't worry, it's just a bug going around."

My friend says he's addicted to brake fluid. He says he can stop any time.

I stayed up all night wondering where the sun had gone. Then it dawned on me.

I gave away my dead batteries today. Free of charge.

The man who invented knock-knock jokes should get a no-bell prize
