Prospect: “So what do you do for a living?”
Business owner: “I am in the global search for entrepreneurial talent, creating time freedom and money freedom, where people build wealth through multiple streams of residual income with international benefits…”
Prospect: “It is okay to just say you do not know.”
Long answers confuse people.
Simple answers get attention.
Some examples from different professions
Prospect:
“So what do you do for a living?”
Accountant:
“We take the stress out of submitting your tax returns.”
Lawyer:
“We help you avoid expensive employment disputes.”
Financial Planner:
“We give you options for early retirement.”
Short.
Clear.
Easy to understand.
Let their imagination do the work
Prospects cannot see the big picture, even though they own a 50-inch high-definition TV.
Our job is to help them imagine a better future.
We do this by using simple word prompts that take them into the future.
Powerful opening word sequences
- Suppose that…
- Imagine that…
- Can you imagine…
- What if…
- What would it look like if…
These phrases naturally get people dreaming.
Examples
“What if your income was no longer linked to the number of hours you worked?”
“Can you imagine having the option to work from home and still earn the same income?”
“What would it look like if you did not have to commute every morning and could have breakfast with your family instead?”
Once people start imagining, the conversation changes.
And now the dreams begin.

Humour
Another new virus.
The Type C Nile Virus.
Even the most advanced computer programs cannot fix this one.
It appears to target people born before 1961.
Symptoms include:
- Sending the same email twice.
- Sending a blank email.
- Sending an email to the wrong person.
- Sending it back to the person who sent it.
- Forgetting to attach the attachment.
- Pressing SEND before finishing.
- Pressing DELETE instead of SEND.
- Pressing SEND when you meant DELETE.
This virus is called the C Nile virus.
Does anyone else suffer from this?
