Some prospects can’t wait to hear what we offer. Their needs and wants are so huge, even if we are incompetent, they will join or buy. It feels good to talk to these prospects.
Unfortunately, we don’t know any of these prospects.
The good news is that other people do know these prospects. Everyone knows 200 people we don’t. Out of those 200 people, there will be four or five who desperately want what we have to offer.
So for everyone we meet, let’s ask this question: “Who do you know with this
Some examples:
- “Who do you know that wants to pay less tax?”
- “Who do you know that hates commuting, and wants to retire early?”
- “Who do you know that is the main breadwinner and has a young family?”
- “Who do you know that has elderly parents and might need help at home?”
The best way to learn
Well, here is the worst way.
Take a four-year course on cooking. After graduation, see a stove and oven for the first time. Try to remember everything from our notes that we memorized.
The best way to learn?
Yes, read books, take courses, and attend workshops. Shortcut the learning curves by leveraging other people’s experience. But … as we learn each new secret, go out and practice. That way the new secret becomes automatic.
We know it. We lived it. We don’t have to remember. Just like driving a car or riding a bicycle.
Learn, practice, learn, experience, learn, try out, etc.
Humour
I play the triangle in a reggae band. I stand at the back and ting.
I've been told that I'm not ambitious enough. My boss said if there was an Olympic sport for being lazy, the bronze medal would be mine.
I wish who knew who took the jack from under my car. The suspension is killing me.
Apparently, you can only say, "Look at you. You've got so big," to children. Old girlfriends tend to get offended.
I can't help being lazy. It walks in the family.
Lord help me to be the person my dog thinks I am.
