How short is our attention span?

I recently read an article that the human attention span is now down to four seconds.

Is that true?

I don’t know, because I didn’t read the second sentence. I knew some cat videos were waiting for me if I scrolled further.

The point is that we must change our marketing model from introducing long, boring videos to prospects as the first step. These videos will educate our prospects later, but first, we have to get their attention, and their commitment.

Holding Our Prospects’ Attention

Here are some great words we can say at the end of our sentences:

  • “And then …”
  • “But what I noticed …”
  • “However, you might be thinking …”
  • “And now for the good part …”
  • “But what came to mind …”
  • “So …”

These little add-on phrases will buy a bit more time of our prospects’ attention.

“It is okay to say “no” to my offer.”

If we say this at the beginning of our offer, we will remove the resistance and fear from our prospects. Now they can listen to our wonderful offer with an open mind.

Humour

Batman: Whisky on the rocks but hold the whisky.

Bartender: So, you just want ice.

Batman: Yes, I want JUSTICE.

Some people say their body is a temple. Mine's a bouncy castle

What happens when you have a bladder infection. Urine trouble.

Prison may be one word. But to others it's a sentence.
