Our prospects are pre-sold!

Think about it. Almost everyone would love the benefits of our product or our service.

And everyone wants more money.

Yes, our prospects are pre-sold on our business.

The only thing we have to do is to not talk them out of it!

Ouch.

That means we don’t want to set off the “salesperson” alarm. If we do, the prospect won’t believe another word we say.

We can set off the “salesperson” alarm easily. Think of car “salesperson” When they say:

  • “What’s it going take to get you into a car today?”

We immediately feel the sales alarm go off inside of our heads.

What words and phrases do we use to set off the salesman alarm?

Just record our opening few sentences. Listen closely. We will hear them.

Maybe they will sound something like this:

  • “Would you be interested in ...” – sounds like a sale, and people avoid this.

So, may I make a little suggestion?

This is a fun close, and rejection-free. We prepare our prospect by saying, “So, may I make a little suggestion?”

Then we proceed to tell our prospects exactly what we want them to do. Easy!

Humour

  • I told my girlfriend she drew her eyebrows too high. She seemed surprised.
  • My friend says to me: "What rhymes with orange" I said, "No it doesn't."
  • How many opticians does it take to change a lightbulb? Is it one or two? One... or two?
  • What's orange and sounds like a parrot? A carrot.
