03 January 2021
At a time when more books on weight loss are sold than any other genre, I'm reminded of the words of bestselling author Chuck Palahniuk, who said, "The goal isn't to live forever. The goal is to create something that will."
When we look back at the end of 2020, and delete the nightmares of COVID it will be the same as every other year in that,
- some people will have done the work to make things happen, and got the results they wanted,
- some people will have watched things happen, and
- some people will ask, "What the hell happened?"
In 2021, I hope that your words are believed, your potential is fulfilled, and you get the results you dream of.
This coming year someone will choose to let go of their past, rewire their present and rewrite their future.
This coming year someone will choose to turn pain into power, fear into fortune and confusion into clarity.
This coming year someone will choose to trust themselves, take bigger risks and be so good that they can't be ignored.
The question is not so much can you, but will you?
Make every day this year choose day.
We can.
Humour
1. An old guy was working out at the gym when he spotted a beautiful young woman walking in. He asked the trainer standing next to him, "What machine should I use to impress that woman over there?" The trainer looked him up and down and said, "I would recommend the cashpoint in the lobby."
2. An unemployed youth took his clapped-out old car to the garage and asked them to find out what was wrong with it.
After a few minutes under the bonnet the mechanic appeared shaking his head forlornly, and said, "Piston broke."
"I know," replied the youth, "But what's wrong with the car?"
